Research Discounts

Each month, a number of Techs are put forwards as candidates for your scientists to focus their research efforts on. These candidates are subjects that your scientists have special insights into that month, and so will be granted a 50% reduction in their Research Point cost. The number of candidates for discounted Research Point cost is two, but assigning a Minister of Technology will increase this to three choices.

Note that the player does not have to choose one of these discounted candidates, and is free at any time to select any Tech that is available to research from the Additional Candidates list on the right of the screen, but will be required to pay the full Research Point cost to do so. This is a list of all possible Research candidates that the player is qualified to pick through the completion of prerequisite Tech breakthroughs.
